1. Policies

Being read and reading: if it's public, you don't need to ask to read it or link to it.

Commenting: Comments from people without Dreamwidth or OpenID accounts are welcome, if they are manually signed with a name/handle/other identifying information, to facilitate discussion.

The following are not welcome: unsolicited advice; spoilers for works I haven't read/seen/etc.; and gross incivility. In response, I will take whatever steps I deem appropriate.

Icons: my icons were made by me unless otherwise credited. Ones in my LJ Scrapbook may be used or modified as long as I'm credited (commenting is nice too).

2. About

Labels that apply to me: spouse, parent, lawyer, reader, fan, reviewer, home owner, dog owner, American, thirty-something, woman of Asian ancestry.

Caveat about labels: "You will read my life in phosphors on a screen, or glowing letters scrolling up the inside of your eye. (Well, okay, mostly I just like the quote. I'm nowhere near as dramatic as that.)

The journal title is a paraphrase of Paul Simon's "You Can Call Me Al," in a similar spirit.
