I read the first few chapters in the consuite and wasn't impressed, but Chad tells me Cook tends towards short choppy sentences generally, so if you're already a fan of Cook, you're doubtless used to that. And Bookfinder.com has a few copies for under $10, which isn't bad.

I personally thought the space opera panel was rather subdued for something titled "Joy Of," but then it _was_ 10 am on a Sunday morning.
