I'm screening part of your comment because I don't think it's been revealed in the show up till this point.

Reading your comments has inspired me to rewatch my DVDs recently - I watched this one last week. (I admit to skipping through much of episode 8).

A few comments:

According to Episode 6 Vash can't remember anything before July City except for his early childhood, so we can't deduce when he met Rem from that alone.

Episode 9 reveals little extras in hindsight when rewatched - for example when Vash asked if Wolfwood was going to chase after the child emptyhanded, and Wolfwood only then realises he's left his Cross of Mercy behind - this scene takes on new meaning after having seen episode 10. Likewise one other scene here, but you haven't seen far enough in the series to get that one, so I won't spoil you.

The PLANT appears to be creating sentry/security robots on automatic rather than terraforming, but the coloured light glimmering into the control room is the same as in the terraforming PLANT in episode 6. I wonder what you'll think of the character design changes in Episode 12...

For the other parts--

Yes, early childhood, but I was really not getting an "early childhood" vibe off those memories. =>

Good point about the empty-handed bit.

And we'll see about episode 12! Probably this Friday, but you never know. *goes off to be swamped with work*
