It seems like most reviewers think the face recognition is a gimmick, but the IS is clearly awesome.

I've actually got an 850IS (I think I thought the 800IS was discontinued and gone) on my Amazon wishlist right now, so I can watch to see if it drops to some crazy-low price at some point...
