Seen at yhlee's, though I was A Rebel! and ignored most of the questions in favor of reading from the opening of The Fortunate Fall.

Something I forgot to say is that I recently listened to a recording of an oral argument I did, and I was disappointed that my voice was kind of . . . ordinary.

I am not brave, I am an anal-retentive control freak.

Something I'm working on is the tendency of my voice to swing up? At weird places? As though I'm asking questions? Even though I'm not? Which I think is a gender stereotype thing and I don't want to do.

I know davekirtley's voice has a tendency to end all his sentences with a rising question tone, though I wasn't aware it was a female stereotype.
