Mind, I didn't do that; I hugged friends, sure, but not random strangers, even if we were all of a community (which was generally true, and not uncommon an atmosphere at filk cons). But the idea didn't trouble me the way the breast-touching one does.

Yeah, probably. As I said, FKO had a "we are of one community, all friends" atmosphere; sure, there were people you didn't know, but they weren't exactly "total strangers." So that probably contributed.
