Yeah, there are some PC-oriented projectors that take RGB (one cable for Red, one for Blue, one for Green) component cables, but basically these do not exist in modernity. Regular TVs take in YPbPr (Y is short for "luminance"; Pb is the difference between the overall brightness level and the blue level; Pr is the difference between overall and red).

It's all fairly intuitive.
