Wait, she got that much of a head start and she's less than eight inches ahead of him? Idle creature. She's frittering away her advantage, I tell you...
Heh. Those exponential curves! Though he is about four months earlier than her in getting to this height; I'm not sure when the curves start diverging based on sex.
Around 4-5, IIRC, and at size 5 US clothes diverge in terms of waist circumference. SK is indeed giant, and the stair-step effect is really cute. (Reason is apparently still half an inch taller than the Pip, which surprises me because I was sure that her relative-to-agemates tallness had dropped off by now. No one in Reason's near ancestry has topped 6' except for my maternal grandfather, oddly enough; I doubt that such a remove has influence.)

Being a November birth, the Pip's classmates tend to run older than him, so it's useful to remember that no, he is probably pretty darn tall for his age.
Oh gosh, SteelyKid is going to be SO upset when he outgrows her. I will have to remind her that she'll always be older.
Sometimes kids are just taller than all their recent ancestors, you know? Obviously there's a point where that has to stop, but it's a generational trend that I've seen probably max out at my 6' 8" cousin, so . . .
p.s. -- If she starts saving now, she can get junior jumping stilts for only $250/pair. And then she'll tower over everyone! (at least while she's jumping)
