It has been a very long day in Chateau Steelypips, so all I have to say is springing off this AV Club article:

I believe that our Michael-POV sections are accurate because otherwise it would be, as the article points out, too much of a cheat. And so Shawn showing up is a genuine threat.... to be resolved in January, whee.

(Oh, and farewell Derek, a very small amount of you was really more than enough.)
