my letter of resignation to Arisia

Content note: rape, stalking.
Dear Arisia Member Services and Programming:
Effective immediately, please remove me from the org chart as Tiptree Bake Sale staff and from programming as a participant. I will not be attending Arisia until Noel Rosenberg is removed as President of Arisia, Inc. and Division Head of Operations, and is banned from the convention.
Crystal Huff reports that Rosenberg raped her and stalked her; that Arisia staff has been aware of this for years; that Rosenberg has been banned from at least three other events because of his behavior toward her, and additionally has been asked to only attend WisCon when she is not present; and that in April 2018, Arisia's Incident Review Team interviewed her, and two members of the Team stated that they found her credible.
Nevertheless, in September 2018, minutes before the Arisia corporate elections meeting, Huff received the following decision: "Due to the complexity of the situation the Executive Board has decided to request that the two parties stay away from each other at all Arisia events and is taking no further action on this [report]."
This decision, and the other failures of Arisia's process as detailed in Huff's post, makes Arisia an unsafe convention—particularly in light of the leadership positions held by Rosenberg.
I have valued my time at Arisia and am sorry that I cannot attend.
Very truly yours,
Kate Nepveu
