I hadn't realized that it wasn't a life-long thing, so yes, it *should* be Magneto, and I hope the movies go that way if there are more.

And no, they can't have tested it fully, so I'm not surprised that it might not be permanent, actually; purge, DNA repair, whatever (I forget if it was supression or counter-mutation, or if they even bothered to say).
Re: Arclight: Huh, okay. I don't know what it was that made me immediately tag her as transgendered, but something about the face and voice did so (not just the haircut). In the absence of evidence that the movie-makers were intending to make a change there, I guess I was wrong.
