And I picked up the habit of naming my lizard corpse (for those not familiar with NetHack, they are carried in case one starts to turn to stone because of a cockatrice) so that it wouldn't merge with other corpses--I only needed one, and usually I would sacrifice or stash the spares to save on weight.
