I don't think that's all fantasy does, but it's a very useful thing for it to do. That being the case, it is perfectly appropriate for fantasy writers to modulate the types of evil they write about, to image those reactions and responses. Otherwise, you come across as a bit of a twit, like Morrow, wasting your time objecting to the whole notion of something when you could be exploring, or at least refuting it.
