Oh, wow, do I really hate the idea that Dent is alive. Really. His arc is _done_, that story's over, bringing him back would be . . . pointless, artificial, cheap. The whole weight of the movie is that it's his tragedy, the appropriate ending for which is his death.

And while it may be a huge departure for Batman--I think that's rather the point.
