The Shadowrun sourcebooks were nominally future but very focused on mythical things because they're also (?) post-apocalyptic.
I think "post-apocalyptic" is overstating the case somewhat (it's more cyberpunk than postapocapunk), but certainly post- a major social upheaval. The cause of the upheaval is The Magic Coming Back, complete with elves and trolls and dragons and whatnot, hence the mythical focus. There's a certain tendency to be concerned with the past when many of the movers and shakers of the world can talk about their memories of the good old days and be meaning centuries ago.
