American names don't really convey much outside the US, I find, unless they're out on the far side of stereotypical; "John Ronald Brunner III" is probably white, "Latifah Murphy" is probably not. Anything between the two could be of any heritage at all.

For my part, "Tamika" carried no signifiers, but I read "Flynn" as Irish, mostly because I'm in Ireland and know a number of people with that surname. "Natural hair" I don't have anything to attach to even after you've called it out there.

Among the other names I can think of offhand, "Hiram McDaniels" is a pretty white name, "Carlos" is probably of Iberian heritage, and the rest could be anything at all. Maybe Old Woman Josie might be native American, or part thereof.

A very early piece of fan art I saw showed Cecil as being black, and that's how I've thought of him since, despite Cecil Baldwin not being so.
