That's why I didn't listen to the cast recording recently (it helps that I already tend to not to listen to Act II as much). But yeah, the vocal differences I could find were super-small and only in Munoz; there may have been differences in the physicality, especially for King George since he does so little interaction, but obviously I wouldn't be able to know.
I wonder if time will allow more reinterpretation? (more than the decade for _Wicked_, I guess--I'm thinking _Chicago_, which I suspect allows its big-name leads that cycle on and off to tailor the songs slightly to themselves otherwise what's the point? But, this is just a guess as I've only seen the movie.) Or the new runs elsewhere and the touring companies. (Or casting the roles with different genders, which I vaguely heard was a possibility!) I'll be very curious to read the reviews of new productions.
