The annual auction to support con_or_bust, which helps fans of color/non-white fans attend SFF cons, will be from February 11-25. You can post auction items now, however. Please spread the word by linking to the announcement post!

In addition, requests for assistance to attend cons in April, May, and June (including WisCon) will be taken from February 15-25. More information.

I forgot to mention here that after this year's WisCon, con_or_bust will expand to help people of color attend any SFF con of their choice. I am really, really excited about this.

Unfortunately there may not be any money left after this year's WisCon to help people until the next auction or to meet all the WisCon requests; the current total for the auction is about $4K, last year we raised $6K, and this year's requests just for WisCon are approaching $9K.

Here's a list of auction items that have relatively few bids; please link in order to spread the word as widely as possible.

A list of all the cool auction items ending today. Spread the word! We have just enough right now, projected, to send all ten of the fans of color who've asked to WisCon—assuming that no-one needs extras (like, uh, food), flights don't go up, more last-minute requests don't come in, and no-one flakes on their auction bids. So go, look, bid on the cool (and surprisingly cheap, some of it) stuff, or just donate if you are able. Thanks!

con_or_bust is live (or gradually will be over the day as people wake up and enable comments on their posts.) More items are coming—I will be listing some very exciting stuff this week—so check in through the end of the fundraiser, Monday, April 13.
