Note for your: Yes, "aircheck" is a real term; was a recording of a live radio shift. I worked in radio in the 80s and we would just start a casette recording of our newscasts or our DJ shifts and listen to it later for self-critique or sometimes supervisor critique. Usually they weren't something one saved although I do have some. Concern about cassette players disappearing is very real.
