I mean, yes, obviously one level of the Hulk is rage/id monster. But the specific physical triggers of the Norton movie gave me this "body, why you gotta do this to me?" vibe, which started me down this path. Which may be clueless and offensive, and if so I would like to know.

Which then reminded me of another short fic which posits Tony as bipolar and has Bruce make a black-humor joke about their perceived parallels:
Please note: this is a classic case of ‘unreliable narrator’ fic. Tony is not an expert on his condition (hence his flawless handling of it, see? [/sarcasm]), and while I do have the condition myself, NEITHER AM I. This fic is not meant to be a perfect illustration of the disorder, just a fictional account of a fictional character who - as far as I am aware - does not have the condition in canon. Don’t use it for anything like self-diagnosis or anything, okay? Thanks.
