Two Things About Lost 1.18, "Numbers"

First and non-spoilery, I adore Hurley.

Second and spoilery, something I only realized after the episode was over: Hurley used to be a patient in that mental hospital.

• He only knew Lenny's first name.
• The doctor wanted to know what he was doing back there.
• He got so upset whenever anyone said he was nuts.

I wonder what for?

(Look! Lost being sorta kinda subtle!)

I was trying to decide whether he was a patient or an employee for a while. It was the "I put my mom through a lot lately" line that finally did it (I know, that one was early in the ep., but I was mulling.)

Hurley is my favorite.

Hurley does indeed rock. Also: Crazy French Lady was back! And Hurley made friends with her!

I really hope they put this out on DVD quickly, it is really going to need some serious re-watching.

I downloaded the first four episodes, and they didn't suck, but I don't have the energy to keep up with it.

In any case, this reaffirms that TV-on-DVD is the awesomest thing ever.
