There is much to tell about the last couple weeks, and I was going to tell it tonight, but I decided instead to treat my tired self to a novel. After some deliberation, I went back to reading Stephen King's Dark Tower series.

I'm not done yet. I made myself stop reading most of the way through. But I would just like to say that it is much more disconcerting than I would expect to find that Wolves of the Calla uses the same font for chapter titles as Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix did.

Excellent job with NaNoKateMo. I myself am reading Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell in the evenings, and Alphabet of Thorn during my lunch hours as my contribution.

I thought about picking up _JS&MN_--I was wanting something to really sink into--but I thought I ought to get back to the Dark Tower books before I ran into even more spoilers inadvertently. I'm looking forward to it, though.

If you get all the way through, there is something that makes that make a bit more sense. I thought. [ Not yet read VI and VII, I'm waiting for paperbacks. ]

Yeah, I'd heard about that. But textual shout-outs are one thing, while book design decisions seem to me to be another. And it's just not the right font for this book!

I am now wavering between re-reading V, to get a better fix on what I think about it, and moving forward to VI and VII. As long as I can finish before we leave for our cruise on the 19th, I think I will; I've got the people and the world vibrant in my head now, and I don't want to leave them lurking about disrupting my other reading until after the cruise.

(I am still nervous, though, as I have unexpectedly run into some major spoilers. Waah.)
