Stop the unnecessary backstory already! Just give up the format if you can't think of anything interesting to put there.

Wonder-bitch is still awful, even though they're trying to make her someone who's overcompensating for being in over her head.

It looks warm in Hawaii. I want to be there. Without feral pigs and Others. Dozing on the beach in the warm sun and ocean breeze . . .

Chad: "So tonight we're getting Thick-Accent theater." (I have no idea what Jin said to Michael at the waterfall. Something significant and incomprehensible.)

The Others have feet, at least.

Preview: Three weeks from tonight? Time to stretch it out for sweeps, I guess. And it's too much to hope that Sawyer'll kick the bucket, huh? Oooh, or maybe Jack. Jack would be good. Except that the preview showed the new castaways too so it's probably one of them.

Wonder-bitch: When I saw that the credits said "Michelle Rodriguez", I was all, "Wasn't she in Girlfight?" And yes, she was. Well, she should stay there.

Hawaii: Yes. I keep looking at the scenery and trying to figure out where they're filming. The east side of the island, obviously (I'm assuming they always film on the Big Island, because I think I read that somewhere).

Three weeks: "We're going to have reruns for a couple of weeks. But to make sure you come back, we promise to kill somebody. BLOOD WILL BE SPILLED TO ENSURE YOUR FAVOR, O GODS!"

The credits say it is filmed entirely in Oahu. When I was there last spring, somebody told me the beach they use is near the western end of the northern edge (near an airfield). I went up and made some pictures but I couldn't say for sure if I was at the right place.

Okay:

Flashback was Jin & Sun. Jin: waiter at fancy hotel, quits rather than kick out lower-class man and son who he let in so that son could use the bathroom. Sun: matchmaker set her up with not!Jin, rather liked him, he at least mildly bruised her heart by confessing that he was planning to return to America and marry a woman he met there & was just seeing her to get his family off his back. At the end of the episode, they bump into each other on a sidewalk, eyes meet, sparks fly, etc.

On the island: Sun loses her wedding ring, cries, finds it again. Various people are sympathetic.

Wonder-bitch and her crew decide to head to the other side of the island and join the rest. Michael takes off to find Walt. Jin goes after him and is helped by the black man of the new castaways, who rejoices in the name "Mr. Echo." They hide from the Others, see their bare (human) feet glide through the forest, one dragging a teddy bear. They find Michael, Jin says something to Michael that I couldn't understand, they head back.

Either here on in the preview, Sawyer collapses from his infected shoulder wound.

The preview suggests that one of the castaways will die, three weeks from now.
