Re: Joker, I'd really thought I'd missed something because of the very quick pace post-phone call (the explody one).... And I think we don't see a confirmed terminus for Lau, either, perched atop the pile.
I really like feeling that I am not smarter than this film. There must be a better way to phrase that, but it's lovely to have things to niggle over instead of the usual thing of being annoyed by broad flat strokes of uncomplicated characterization and plot arcs.
