I am totally glad that you liked it.

(I think my favorite line is, "I told you. I'm a good thief," but it's hard to pick.)

(Oh, and one of the show's creators said the reason they call him Hardison is purely a rhythm thing, nothing about his relationships with the team.)

Mmmm.

Alec Hardison is an awesome smartass African-American geek hacker.

He does Robin Hood-y caper things with his team, Nate (mastermind), Parker (thief; female), Eliot (hitter), and Sophie (grifter).

I suspect that's it, since it's taking him and putting him in a _Iron Man_ situation, and you get a good sense of his character as you go, but it's hard for me to be certain.

Oh god, Kate, that fic kind of broke my heart! Because it was SO well-written, and clever and funny and everything, and because I did enjoy the first Iron Man movie a little just because RDJ was so charming… but the idea of the what the 'good side' is, and who teams up to attack whom in the name of 'justice' and… I don't know.

Mmm, I read it as, well, to separate it, (1) the fic itself being aware of the dodgy things underlying Tony Stark/Iron Man and that canon's worldview, and (2) Hardison being aware ditto (poor thing, when he's a step behind the others in realizing the problem with Extremis's mission statement, but he learns fast). And I expect the _Leverage_ team to share his views. So I think I take a more optimistic view of the ending than you, as my comment there may've suggested.

(And now I *desperately* want to see the team fix Tony all the way. With Pepper.)
