Thank you for writing this up! I had never noticed that Steven's dress was in the trans pride colours and now I'm MELTING that is so sweet and lovely. I have been thinking about that "Crystal Gems" question lately too, because I recently rewatched the first episode where the Gems reveal themselves to Peridot. Pearl says, "We are the CRYSTAL GEMS, protectors of the earth, etc." and Peridot says, "Crystal Gems?" This is after Peridot referred to them as Gems. So I'm interested in what fan theories might have to say.
