Room 120

Well. You can tell I've been head-down in today's hearings since yesterday afternoon, because I didn't hear until about fifteen minutes ago that a bomb exploded in a Yale Law School classroom yesterday afternoon. Thankfully, no-one was hurt. It could have been much worse if classes were in session, as that room tends to be packed; it's currently exam period (yes, still; the Law School runs later than the rest of the university).

I spent quite a large chunk of my law school life in Room 120; I had Contracts with Dean Kronman there, first thing in the morning during my first term, and at least three other classes that I can think of right at the moment. I can't say I liked it that much--it was a flat room, not on tiers, and the rows of tables were all too close together--but still. And the reading room next door was the site of any number of little-food-on-sticks events. It's a gorgeous building in the full, extravagant College Gothic mode, and while I'd glad the only damage was to the building, it still hurts to think of it.

I'd make a joke about leaving for a year and the whole place just going to pieces, but I don't have the heart for it just now, especially since I know several of the people who are being quoted in news articles. Take care out there, everybody (and good luck on finishing your exams!).
