Okay, even though it got the Uncertainty Principle wrong, it was pleasingly tense and clever—oh, and non-needlessly-gross. But the real question is, what the heck kind of accent is Rob Morrow's character supposed to have? It makes my ears itch.

I think it's supposed to be *not* the New York-area accent that IIRC he normally has, and used to such good effect as Joel Fleishman (sp?) on Northern Exposure. Though -- a Watsonian sort of explanation -- with having Judd Hirsch as his father, and his strong accent, for Morrow's character to have an NY accent, or the hint of one, influenced by his dad, would be somewhat plausible.
