Have some geeky links:

1. Via a comment by parallactic, two scripts that will let you "unfold" comment threads on LJ: LJ Thread Unfolder; LJ Thread Unfolder with "Unfold all". Both are designed for Firefox, but the first also works in Opera 9 (how to install).

Firefox, the latest version. Restarted my browser. When I go to Tools, I have a Greasemonkey option, and the buttons are "new user script", "manage user scripts", and "user script commands"--which is greyed out.

Apparently if I go to a post with rolled-up comments there should be a new button for unfolding comments, but there isn't. ::shrugs::

Maybe it only works on LJs that don't have S2?

Hmm. It may not work for people with custom comment pages--I use the generic LJ comment pages.

My only suggestion is, to check if it's installed, look at some pages that aren't in your style--like this one, if you remove "style=mine" from the URL.

Greasemonkey is love. I'm very grateful for the LJ Clean Friends (http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/3778) script, which limits the width of images on your friends page, so that panoramic Astronomy Pictures of the Day no longer force me to scroll horizontally to read all the other entries.
